her that without thinking. I knew a guy once whose name was Peter Styff. I wondered what his parents were thinking. I also had a friend who kept her maiden name when she got married because her first name and married name would have been too funny together.

There is a well known German immigrant dressage rider (not Jan Ebelin, HRH Ann's trainer) named Stefan Peters, who led this years US Olympic dressage team. He apparently gets off a bit when riding, and is known for his, um, bulging breeches. Rumor was made fact by an unfortunate photo of him on the cover of a major dressage magazine some years back, which led to his nickname in the horse world of "Stiffin' Peter."

before she got tapped for that show. It's obvious that she uses the name to its full advantage to get some mojo for what she has to say.
