Navarro, who was a GOP activist in the South Bay, tried to unseat incumbent Rep. Maxine Waters, in 2018. In September 2016, the then 28-year old pled guilty and was convicted of a misdemeanor for placing an electronic device onto his wifes car. The sentence was one day in jail and 18 months probation. In addition Omar was ordered to take anger management courses according to the Orange County District Attorneys Office.
In 2014, Navarro ran for Torrance City Council and only received .95 percent of the votes.

He sounds awfully dangerous to release on bail.

(14,944 posts)4. agree. this is repeat offender behavior
and LE (and especially the courts) need to take this seriously. Too many times people shrug their shoulders with, "well, they haven't actually hurt anybody .." Not yet! But they HAVE already demonstrated a disregard for others rights and safety .. and that's a small step away from dangerous. Repeat offenses need to be dealt with seriously .. and if necessary harshly.

This is the same guy who got destroyed by Maxine Waters the last time around.
He shows up in every trump thread or Maxine thread asking for contributions to run again because he "will beat her".
