6. As far as an opponant goes...

The only bright side to this is that now, more than ever, the GOP is proving itself to be the complete antithesis to what we are and stand for. So, at least that is becoming very evident and I think it will help us fight the good fight tactically.

This way, the line is clear. No more pretending that the Republicans are anything other than that. The deeper they dig, the more effectively we can utilize the contrast and win the struggle. Considering their current tactics and behaviors, it seems to me that, generally, they are so self-involved and cocky that it may not be all that clear what they are revealing about their faults and weaknesses. It is like an old mask is coming off and it is revealing the hideous nightmare in their collective psyches.

I consider that as empowering for us and it gives me much more optimism about this opposition and where we can go, as well as what we can do, from here on in.
