Sadly, he's my alleged representative. He started his political career by interning for Wyoming congressman Dick Cheney. But wait, there's more!
In Colorado, he was fired from his job at DOJ, seems they don't care for ethics violations. A few years later he was part of the team that violated numerous warrants when the meat-packing plant was raided; his position as DA helped him get away with that.
When he was campaign chair for Marilyn Musgrave, he wasted about $100K prosecuting a dog poo prank on Musgrave; took the jury (in a deep red county, by the way) all of ten minutes to reach a 'not guilty' verdict.
He then got royally spanked by the state supreme court for constitutional violations when he illegally confiscated tax records from a business that does tax prep for Spanish-speakers; he was combing through them looking for "illegals".
Also when he was DA -- He refused to prosecute an admitted rapist, insisting that the victim was merely suffering "buyer's remorse".
He campaigned for congress promising to take local cattle bullshit to Washington. He also said people should vote for him because he doesn't wear high heels.
That's just off the top of my head, there's much more. He's a prime example of why gerrymandering is a very bad thing.
