Will there be (for lack of any other word) an October Surprise from the Dems that would cause Repugs to have to acknowledge that Trump is a criminal and should be impeached?

Or will we all be demoralized when Trump gets acquitted in the Senate and Trump becomes even more emboldened to take more criminal liberties as president?

2. If you believed that the GOP Senate was going to remove Trump....

you set yourself up for disappointment. Was and isn't going to happen.

At this point I think they should impeach but not send to the Senate.

Trump is going to get caught doing something else and they can add it to the total.

That should be narrative. The GOP Senate are moral cowards, they are aiding in his abuse of power and the House will wait until they have more backing from the people..........provided he is not voted out in Nov.

6. I'm Under The Impression That There Are Tons Of Americans Out There That.....

have the belief that Trump will be removed from the presidency. They hear the words that Trump is facing impeachment and they cheer that we will soon be rid of this criminal. They may be getting that idea from late night show hosts and even cable news shows. They are being lulled into this false sense that Trump will be gone.

I really believe that these Americans will become more demoralized and despondent when that happens and just give up. I'm worried that we'll find out that a number of them will not partake in the November 2020 election and just give up and Trump will win a second term.

I'm myself am approaching this realistically and realize that this impeachment will go down along Party lines.

I've resigned myself to the fact that voter turnout is most important in 2020 but I also realize that there is undue pressure on Trump and the Repugs to do everything possible to pull out all the stops to win in 2020.

They will seek foreign help. They will push more voter suppression. They will cheat and steal votes.

I guess that's why I'm hoping beyond hope that the Dems have some sort of plan to really rid us of Trump or we are really screwed.

3. Not sure if it rises to "October Surprise" level

but they are coming into new information all the time. This week it was reported they were provided with classified information from Mike Pence's office. There are also the numerous still-unknown cases that Mueller handed off on that last page of the Mueller report (still redacted). And also numerous ongoing investigations, including the Giuliani investigation. I'm positive there will be bombshells, but whether or not they make an impact is hard to predict.
