No, but you can take the vote away from 66 million that voted against him?
Don't they ever think of all the votes against Trump when they say that?

[link:https://fortune.com/2018/08/09/nonvoters-trump-presidency-pew-study/|
Sad but true, 40% of eligible voters did not participate...
And while the study shows that nonvoters were less likely to align with the Republican Party, the data gets fuzzier in terms of how nonvoters feel ideologically. Owing in part to the tendency of nonvoters to be politically disengaged more generally, there are far more nonvoters than voters who fall into the mixed category on the ideological consistency scale, the study authors noted.
The truth is there are more people who do not follow, engage in or participate in our politics than those that do...getting them to engage is the entire battle - Trump's approval is mired in the low-40%s and has ALWAYS been there or lower...we need people to give a shit and show up in 2020...EVERYWHERE - not just fucking Iowa or South Carolina or Nevada...in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Georgia...

(15,124 posts)for all the "minor" candidates, and it was approximately 75 million who voted for someone other than Trump.
DinahMoeHum
(21,784 posts). . .only who you vote for.
eg. Candidate A 33% of the total vote
Candidate B 33% of the total vote
Candidate C 34% of the total vote
Candidate C wins because the majority voted for Candidate C
Candidates A and B totaling 66% does NOT equal victory, even though it was against Candidate C.
Repeat: the tabulator does not have a mind of it's own, it merely collects the votes. It does NOT count who you vote against, only who you vote FOR.

(43,133 posts)In their minds, only THEIR side matters. That's the problem, first, foremost, comprehensive. They are not about democracy, equality, fairness, or divided government. They are about privilege, money, power, and dominance, about dividing the benefits of society amongst those able to pay cash for them: themselves. And using religion to distort the minds of blue collar people so they will gladly or unwittingly follow suit.

(45,429 posts)where just tiny little blue dots of cities voted Democratic. Because the votes of urban liberals don't matter.
And I've seen a lot of deplorables online posting state maps where it's deeply unfair that the Democrat won their state-wide election with more votes from people when the Republican candidate got more land in the rural areas.
There are a lot of things deeply wrong with these people.

(4,723 posts)St Louis County is blue. Something like 17% of the people in Missouri live in St Louis county alone. If St Louis County were a state, it would have more people than 7 other states. But it is only 508 square miles, so it looks like a dot on the map.

.... to the 2016 election too.
Consider this data from Myrna Pérez of New York Universitys Brennan Center for Justice: Between 2014 and 2016, states removed almost 16 million voters from the rolls. Thats almost 4 million more than between 2006 and 2008. And it should be obvious that that is a rate that outstrips the growth rate of total registered voters and the growth rate of total population.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/almost-16-million-voters-were-removed-from-the-rolls-we-should-be-alarmed/2019/05/15/f3de396a-7682-11e9-bd25-c989555e7766_story.html

(8,911 posts)Total number of votes: ----- 137,338,603
Pendejo45 votes: ------------ 62,984,825
-------------------------------------------
Total of non-Pendejo45 votes: 74,353,778
So 66 million didn't vote against him, 74.3 Million voted against him.
We keep forgetting that there were more than 2 candidates.

(2,809 posts)That this shit show of an administration could finally motivate unprecedented numbers of voters in 2020. I can name two offhand who have a case of "doesn't make any difference" voter complacency syndrome for decades, now mentioning they want to vote next year, if only to stop Donald Trump's ugly mug from appearing on every website ad, put an end to this sickening tilt-a-whirl we've been riding for 3 years now.
We have many debates and 11 months of sorting this out to find the sharpest most anti-Trump antidote of a candidate.
