Suppose McConnell wanted out

So he gives his coordination spiel. He knows nothing he does will please Trump and any course he takes will hurt him politically. But if there was a huge outcry by the public he might be forced (ahem) to recuse himself and let the chips fall where they may....Gee Mr. President I REALLY wanted to help but I guess I slipped up when I said so in public. Mitch is no babe in the woods and that coordination pledge seems suspicious.

MoscowMitch is wdely believed by those who know him to be amoral and, yes, somewhat conservative but overall very unideological. For him, it's all about his own power, and he's thrown in with the new kleptocrat/plutocrat classes he's helped create.

So #1 is to secure his own reelection and #2 to secure reelection of a Republican senate majority. Everything else is secondary at best to him, most of what we believe he should care about not even on his list. Never has been.

He counts on his big backers formidable assistance to make sure #s 1 and 2 happen. That Putin's now among those demonstrates Putin's Mitch's lack of moral compunction, and with his own power at stake we should assume he will satisfy almost any (or all ?) requirements Putin might make of him.

11. Seriously, don't we know some very large conspiracies are dreadfully real?

Finally? Avaricious RW billionaires, RW extremist Christian groups (Catholic and Protestant), and RW Russia are three general divisions we now know have been secretly plotting the takeover, either complete or radical reformation, of our democracy for decades.

The LW wannabe revolutionaries are too few to take over our evil capitalist government on their own and would have to ally with the RW in delusional hopes of coming out on top, but they're active also and were useful to all the RW conspirators in 2016.

In any case, between all of them, these conspiracies are coming to a head now, too advanced to continue their activities in secret.

And in the opposite corner: Us! ONLY the protectors of our liberal democracy, of government of, by and for the people, of equality, of liberty and justice for all can speak truth to the people. All the self-declared reformers and revolutionaries have to hide and conspire to deceive the people about their ultimate goals. Not us.

Scary, but makes me proud. At least we've earned all the right enemies.

Mensch and Claude Taylor as huge nutjobs, is looking more and more factual, every single day. I'm speaking of Trump, being involved a global sex trafficking organization, it still feels wrong, like I will be labeled a nut for even bringing it up. I think that's why the Pizzagate rumors hit so hard and heavy in 2016, these people are master projectionists. Accuse others of what you, yourself is guilty of.

But I’m talking about the kind of conspiracies that really do bring down nations. The kind that have had many books written about them after the fact and that now, over the past decade, have had many many very well known and respected experts warning us before the fact. It is happening.

A crooked judge just ordered 200,000 names purged from the voting roles in Wisconsin. I’m in Georgia where the governors office was blatantly stolen while the world watched. There are actually literally hundreds of the stories of stolen elections by the right.

Whenever someone, from Lawrence tribe to Joe Biden to A lot of people these days says that our democracy is in danger, that we have to save our democracy, that’s what they’re talking about. It’s real.

Ron Desantis was even photographed with Lev Parnas, the night of the election. Mitch McConnell having Rick Scott participate in official Senatorial photos, before he was even announced as a Senator was BS also.

not just us. The arrogance of meeting and photographed in public should be a serous mistake. It worries a lot of people, of course, that they're not more worried. They're in very deep.

On on level, it seems like some ass-covering of some sort. But, deep down, I think he's really just a fascist flaunting his power, as he has been doing all along. He's probably just shoring it up with this disgusting, unAmerican garbage.

6. As long as Moscow Mitch does what Trump wants he has no power
Sat Dec 14, 2019, 10:08 AM
Dec 2019

Moscow Mitch is late 70's. If he gets reelected, this is probably his last productive term. He had the fall this summer and the last few times he was on TV he looked puffy, which means either he is drinking more than usual or he is on steroids. Either way, his health is in decline.

My point is, if he wants to make one last power play, he could use the impeachment to do it. The reality is that if the Russians wanted to flex some muscle, a President Pence at the direction of Moscow Mitch could make things very tough for them.
