Russiapublicans are trying to cheat and many of those ways they have made legal for themselves so I do get concerned that before most of the populace realizes what has happened it's going to be a little to late.

But then I think the American people boy if they really did protest and come out onto the streets they could literally tear down this country.....so basically I go back and forth between hope and doom.

We share this outlook predicament.

I’m thankful for the 60s & 70s that led me to eastern philosophies to help better understand our place, at this time and in the future.

Taught the kids & grands to meditate.

Helps to remember that this is a relatively short, albeit irritating at times, test.

Most of the stress is concern for the grands. Life doesn’t look exciting or promising to them like it did for me at their age.

American youth are too price gouged to have $$ for misspent adventure youth time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I regret that I have but one life to give for my country.
I pledge my fortune, and my sacred honor to the cause of liberty.

That is what once WAS....

Now?

"I can do ANYTHING I WANT in the trial." - Donald Trump, Impeached 45th POTUS
"there will be NO DIFFERENCE between OUR position (GOP Senate) and the President's team." - Moscow Mitch McConnell
"<insert rambling nonsense here>" - Jungle Gym Jordan, Shrieking Doug Collins, or Still Drunk Frat Boy Gaetz
"I think I just shit my pants." - Louis Gohmert

We were once a nation of high-minded ideals and communal sacrifice. We have become a pathetic lump of shit, stinking up the world stage and leaving EVERYONE to wish we were gone completely...

The world is going to miss America a lot less than Americans are going to miss our fundamental foundations.

To the Magats - I hope it was worth it, owning a few libs for a couple months...pathetic.

Working people

I never ever heard anyone ranting or raving about health care costs. There weren’t any problems until the KGOP took over under the cover of an actor turned political puppet for Shock Doctrine economics.

That wave of miscreants are still living (Stone, Mannafort, Rove, Cheney) and training the new generation of even worse miscreants to smile while spewing vitriolic lies IN very solemn serious Congressional Hearings. 🤯🤯🤯. Damn they lie and faux outrage so easily, mindfnboggling!

I think a

“Tired of being price gouged?”

“Want to decriminalize marijuana nationally”

“Want affordable housing in your area?

“Want student debt relief?”

“Want to just get medical care when you need it with no worry?”

Vote Democratic Party

I think this would get the 18-35 voters to the polls

I am hopeful that young people will be able to wrestle power back at some point.

I am a sucker for Hallmark movies too. I have even seen a few interracial couples and one gay couple(only in the background)in recent movies.

And inspires control freak power hungry grifters & cons to take full advantage of the haters & loathers of any/all things not viewed as OK in their personal world of cognitive dissonance.

As a dove, I will never understand hate and anger towards others.

If these social nihilists do take hold of the reins of power, the only tactic to win back control is to.........

A. Refuse to buy stuff/starve the beast
B. Risk life & limb to speak truth to power
C. Slowdown production movements
D. Fully cooperate until they exhaust their hate
E. Pray for the hate enraged theocrats
F. Voting won’t matter if they take power.
G. Win the Hunger Game Contest

Any other non-violent tactics?

9. I'm a recluse and it's the best times in my life thus far

I’m 71 and retired. I’m also a recluse now. I interact with DUers which keeps my mind active in much better ways than just listening to the news. I have very little need to be around people, other than some who come to visit from other states and countries. And I paint.

I thrive in the luxury of reclusiveness.

The emotions pouring from the Tree & Stormy night are so many & strong. My favs!

Outstanding portrait. A presence!

I was taken aback when I opened the Mexican Foods painting. So disciplined, organized, meticulously drawn & colored. I remember when I first saw this on DU. I was amazed!

You are an Artist capital A! You could do an art show! There lies the conundrum. That would far exceed this comfort zone. ☺️

Flickr no longer embeds for me here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s a couple I like. I apologize if Twitter doesn’t work for you. You can try this link
https://www.flickr.com/photos/woe1/

Honestly have no training, no specific goal when I start out with a new canvas, just colors & emotions & paint magic. The paint takes over 😂

The 1st & last are not fully shown here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Literally have hundreds of these gathering dust. The mystery results are addicting 😂

Thank you for commenting & sharing

You’re imitating nature perfectly. I would hang these on my walls in a hot second! I have a collection of rocks that I’ve been adding to for decades and shapes and colors like yours abound in them. Maybe the shapes are due to the centrifugal spin of the planet.

I paint on canvas with acrylic and draw with prismacolor pencils and graphite and charcoal. I prefer to do portraits with graphite and charcoal. And I prefer very smooth paper because I like the softness of shading. I’ll probably post another piece tomorrow, because I’ve gotten surprisingly positive feedback here. I wish more artists would post here. People really do love art, and it helps with all the stress of what Trump is doing.

What medium do you use?

Your rock sculpture sounds wonderful. Do you make tiny adjustments from time to time?

I use low viscosity acrylics mixed with Floetrol 1:2 ratio & a blow dryer or trowel & many various tools & tricks to manipulate the paint colors. I also use Liquitex Pouring medium for a crisper outcome.

I call it Dancing with Paint. 😂😂😂

The shapes are what nature does, the color interactions are attributable to the gravity weight of each color. The chemical interactions between paints & mediums add to the mysterious outcomes. Usually tweak to create balance.

And surely other unseen unknown forces of nature get involved I am sure.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Here is one of my fav fluid artists. I actually shared my blow dryer technique with Elyse. You can view my fav process. I’m getting ready to do larger works 🤞

Be careful, fluid Art is highly addictive
DM if you have questions. Under Elyse’s videos she generously shares her process for each painting

It’s addictive all right!

Ps. Correction: I don’t do rock sculptures, I only collect rocks. I already consider them perfect works of art as they are.

I just pictured you tweaking your rocks positions every now and then probably because I have a spatial quirk. So everything in my home is part of greater work of art requiring minor adjustments from time to time. ☺️
