When the Republicans corruptly acquit Trump, history will remember that day this way.

"The day American democracy died". There is no way around that fact. No election we be able to repair the damage to our democracy. It will set precedent that cannot be undone. Corruptly acquitting Trump will bring tyranny to our country.

Impeachment in the constitution will be nullified. All future presidents will be above the law.

I hope, I pray, the Democrats make this very clear to the American people during the trial. The American people must be made to understand what is at stake. This is the most dangerous time in our history since the civil war.

They are acting as if the majority of Americans are afraid to face the truth, so THEY are afraid to face the truth.

The truth is that a Senate acquittal will devastate the Constitution and kill it. Senate Republicans are willing to leave the country in the hands of a life-long psychotic criminal with NO Constitutional restraints. This is truly difficult to believe, but believe it we must.

Judging from the current political atmosphere, 2019 will be the last full year that the United States is a Constitutionally defined democratic republic. If acquittal occurs, it's the veritable end of government as we know it. And there will be NO semblance of a free and fair election, if one occurs at all. Trumpy has been working on a cheat since he was inaugurated in 2017. He's a consummate cheater, and he'll do it again.

"playing softball". Everything I've learned through watching the hearings and learning about various polls shows that the MAJORITY of U.S. citizens want to be rid of tRUMP and the reTHUGS. If enough people reject the lies and spin then the rest of us will win!

But of course, I realize that compared to what may happen at a future date the impeachment process may look like softball. I'll be happy to win using impeachment and the vote but we'll see, won't we?

They.'re voting to lose power as an equal branch of government, and their voting the president has power over the judicial branch and then can ignore their decrees, and laws. Republicans really want to do that? Does the American people want someone so corrupt having those powers over everyone? They'll regret it quickly as he sets his sights on manufacturing crimes against anyone who opposes him, or threatens exposing his crimes, all to stay in power, and soon they could be told ivankie is taking over all his duties so he can play more golf if his health conditions will let him. The level of corruption will escalate very fast if he escapes being held accountable and removed, or all those that voted to keep him will be removed by the voters.

If Trump is corruptly acquitted, he will unleash tyranny upon the people. I cannot not say this often enough.
