and they would then have to recuse themselves??
They are publicly admitting they are conspiring with him on one of the charges they are overseeing. It seems harder to get rid of McConnell than it will be to get rid of Trump. Is there no oversight committee in the Senate?

The Senate tries all impeachments, so impeaching a Senator would be an exercise in futility. It's only been done once.

and it gets a fuckton harder to override roberts.
