Anybody can get any poll to say what they want to say, in my opinion.

I could say that I polled 1213 registered voters and 60% of them thought Trump should be impeached and removed. Only 35% thought he should not be impeached.

What would be the purpose in me reporting such numbers in a poll? It would surely be an outlier.

But, in my opinion, any polls at this time about impeachment should be ignored. Anything as important as impeachment should not be left to the whims of uninformed voters. That is why we elect Representatives and Senators. We want informed decisions, not polls.

It is all about how you phrase the questions (re: polls) in order to skew the results. alwaysinasnit Dec 2019 #1

Some one is paying for this Polling and usually at minimum wage. In recent years,College Students have been the backbone of these Polling Operations.

"it is all about how the questions are phrased." He went on to explain how that works, and so now I look at polls with a grain of salt.

A few classes in Statistics was interesting. Again, never trust what the Stats say, only way they are believable is if you agree with the methods used in collecting the data to by analyzed.

...and to be mindful of how poll questions are asked. but it's quite another to issue blanket statements designed to cast all polls everywhere into doubt. That's cutting off all possible data on the state of public opinion, and buying into the mindset of "there are no facts and there is no truth other than want I want to believe".

I'd prefer to see Democrats be the party that listens to data and listens to science, and doesn't simply ascribe everything they don't want to hear to conspiracy and manipulation.

Years ago when they were polling point.

Over the years they ask you many many times what you vote as, republican, Democrat or independent then a strong one or not.

They ask if you are moderate or progressive. So after answering this for 15 years they know if they give me a poll I am going to be progressive democrat.

I don’t get a lot of political ones but I love those. My point is how can they do a fair polling when they know from past polls what most people believe.
