What is fueling the polls on Impeachment?

I feel a percentage of those polled don't realize how he could be elected again while losing the popular vote by millions.
Something like 55% of voters say they won't vote for Trump. But many are not into the nuts and bolts as we are. They just want him gone and think he will be voted out. They might feel that Impeachment is too drastic.
Of course these are the same people who want Congress to "do their job" without knowing how the Senate has stymied what the Democratic House has done.

barring death or serious mental or physical incapacitation, Orange Julius will still be hanging around like that crazy uncle the extended family still feels obliged to take care of. Seeing and hearing him throw more of his crap around might wise up some of the politically-clueless that thought he'd be gone after impeachment.

trump and his collaborators. Its up to us to motivate an additional 25 or more million to vote in Nov 2020. WE NEEDED to define this moment as historical to GOP and to Putin

for them.

I strongly disagree. Democrats are not losing any of their anger. Only derailment for president would be wrong democratic candidate and/or a 3rd party run with russian and trump/gop money behind it to syphon off some democratic voters

Think back to 1998-9, even though that was not comparable. As Clinton faced impeachment and as he ended his Presidency, I know that I would have ANSWERED a poll differently than I felt on the favorability question.

I was against impeachment agreeing with the vast majority of the Democrats in the Senate that lying under oath (and I do know his view is that he finessed the question playing with verb tense saying IS) and likely coaching a witness was morally and legally wrong, it did not rise to high crimes and misdemeanors. That opinion was supported by listening to the Democratic Senators who made that case very eloquently.

I expected some Republicans to parse Trump's greater wrongs the same way and was surprised that that was not what the vast majority in the House did. They attacked the impeachment process itself and more than one compared Trump(!) to Jesus. However, I think their consistent message - Trump is purer than Ivory soap, has been the most successful President in decades is what many on the right are hearing 24/7 on their channels.

people don't have a clue what's going on and have some downright idiotic attitudes and ideas. One example is both sides do it. One side is as bad as the other. They're all crooks. Look at all the money wasted on impeachment. And on and on.

As you note, the both sides thing ...

No, just fucking no.

Ain't a D alive who will say the party is the best thing ever, and yeah there is some dumb assery or fuck wittery, but the republican party is a non-stop malicious BORG, and today is relentlessly, bold faced corrupt.

WTH this country puts up with them is beyond me.

I mean, OK, they will have the hateful types who are eating it all up. Sad, but OK.

What I don't get is all these professed "independents" "moderates" and whatever all else who accept them fucking shit up.
