GOP had to cheat in several races to control the Senate.

If the Senate was based on popular vote and GOP were prevented from cheating like in GA and elsewhere, not only would the GOP never control the Senate EVER again, the numbers would be permanently 65-35 give or take.

The madness that mcconnell has anything to say about anything...this is not a democracy.

We have it all. Gerrymandering. Rigged voting machines. Missing ballots, found ballots, too many ballots, purges, ID requirements, fewer polling places, fewer hours, intimidation... there’s probably more.

But 65-35 would require a remarkable amount of cheating. It would mean that some Senators who won by solid double digits didn't really win.

For instance... there are 20 states that are ranked as R+9 or worse (meaning roughly that an average republican against an average democrat in an average year would win by 18%). That's 40 seats.
