"SNIP.....
Republican women in South Carolina are so turned off by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) that theyre taking their support to his Democratic opponent, Jaime Harrison.
During an interview with MSNBCs Joy Reid on Saturday, Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina said hes talked to GOP women in his state who say they are embarrassed by Graham and are working to unseat him.
There are a lot of Republican women that Ive talked to who tell me that they are embarrassed by some of whats been going on recently, Rep. Clyburn said. They are organizing for Jaime Harrison.

(77,737 posts)Once they pushed through HAVA, the Help America Vote Act* (and even before)
the exit polls stopped matching the vote. Despite demographic changes and
societal wants that should favor the Dems we have seen a vote shit in favor of the
Republicans in many many races. The D's really need to win big just to win the
elections by a close margin.

(34,980 posts)But, that's not to say they aren't here. I know this is anecdotal, but a lot of the older women at my gym used to put the TV in the women's lounge on The Propaganda Channel quite frequently. I haven't seen it set to anything other than HGTV for months. There are a couple of other sets in the rest of the gym that are set to Fox, and if anyone is watching them, it's almost always old, white men. I think the women are embarrassed by their whole party, not just Graham.

(67,112 posts)might be, the TV in the waiting room is almost always on Fox. For example ... if I go to the dentist, mixed crowd, it's on HGTV. If I go to the urologist (prostate checker, lol) it's on Fox.

(7,358 posts)Panoramic screen shots of young blondes with short hem lines and naked legs for days, sandwiched between two male lard-heads on a couch spewing RW bull. It appeals to the most common impulses of middle aged males. Sex sells. Do we ever hear of men being sexually harassed, groped, raped by fellow female employees? I think not. It's the men in the world that are fucking up our world folks, make no mistake about it.

(17,710 posts)Maybe because it's South Carolina, but I get the impression that the women there probably helped put him in office over and over again.
I've been gone from the Carolinas region for quite some time, but even back in the early 90's, I still felt like they were behind the times.
I hope this is true.

(7,358 posts)It just reeks of some kind of compromise that may have taken place on the golf course. Trump plays the same game as Putin, he digs up dirt on his opponent and then persuades them to come over to his side. Nothing less than what a NY gangster would do.
