Why is it OK to hear the lies but not the facts?

(4,490 posts)Unfortunately, we often give him a legal pass on what he says publically. Like when he solicited Russian assistance in illegally obtaining Clinton's emails... on national television. Or when he illegaly altered a weather map to support his lie about the hurricane path. Or when he floated the idea of murdering Clinton should she win.

Consider his business career. It was built on cheating, lying, non-payment of bills, regular bail outs by his father, and generally being a dishonest businessman. But because white collar criminals are not prosecuted as much as violent criminals, Trump escaped any punishment.
And he is betting that the same thing will happen this time as well.
