Global Warming? Absolutely.. Right now it is 26 degrees above normal where I live.

Normal high temperature for the Chicago area on December 26 is 33 degrees. Right now it is 59 and we will get to 62. We have already set a record for heat for today. And it is about noon. People can argue this and that. But 60 degrees in late December in northern Illinois?. Tomorrow still predicted to be in the 40s, and that is 10 degrees above normal.
Sure it has been cold. And it will get cold again. But this is way beyond a normal heat spell in late December. Way beyond the beyond

2. Putin: "Nobody knows" the causes of climate change

Putin has always been reluctant to acknowledge the link between human activity and global warming.

At his traditional year-end annual news conference last week, he again insisted that "nobody knows" the causes of climate change.

warmer. They get their northern sea route and lots and lots of farm land. That they get to profit off oil that makes it all happen is just the icing on the cake.

4. Celebrate the warm spell in Chicago!

During my 37 years living in Chicago area, I still remember freezing my ass in January, which was usually the coldest month. Moved to Seattle area and it was rainy but don't have to shovel rain. Now in balmy Florida, and it is so much better weather here for my 79 year old body.

5. In your last paragraph, you mixed up weather with climate.

The pinhead climate change deniers nail us when we do that. When they see boatloads of snow they make the derisive query "climate change?" Weather is a short term event, climate is the longterm trend of atmospheric activity over a region or the world. So when climate is considered, it is possible for a place to be very cold on a given day, but it's longer term temperature warmer than what has historically happened there.

No doubt attributable to the disruptions in the offshore currents due to the rise in oceanic temperatures.

It's only the idiots who say: "It's cold today; that means global warming isn't happening!"

He says that the nuts who don't want to believe it point to high snow totals and cold weather and then say it isn't real. The crazy weather is clearly our earth and atmosphere crying for help.

It is 68 degrees in Oklahoma today, I think that is a record or close. My husband is out washing the car.

Because that's what it really is. And it's not a decade off, either. It became a global catastrophe a decade ago, but most people were blind to it for various reasons (not all having to do with greed.)
