He’s always been able to wriggle out of legal consequences for his crimes, has been able to keep up an extravagant luxurious lifestyle, dates hot women even while married to one, and managed to con his way into being president of the US.

That’s the guy they admire. An idiot jerk like themselves who can swing all of this anyway. They want to be him and will follow him anywhere in the hopes that some of this will rub off on them.

This is a reflection of our country at this moment in time. If you have tons of money and are white, you can get away with just about anything.

We need to stop glorifying the rich and famous. There are so many others in our society that are deserving of our admiration.

.... just like much of the country those knuckleheads have bathed in right wing
propaganda for 30+ years. We have shit loads of these mouth breathers. Did
you know that in 2012 after Obama won re-election that he was going to bring in
Hamas fighters with the help of the UN so he could get a third term and take the
"people's guns?"

Although they are big into liberal tears.

Yes it is. Simple math shows we give more over our life times to churches and politicians. So simple solutions is give more to education than selfish assholes.

oversized jacket and baggy pants what they see is the Rocky physique from that poster?? Delusion runs deep with these supporters. He was not good looking even when he was young. Strange block head, weird shoulders and stance, mouth like a vacuum hose. Totally obsessed with himself.

like him because he pisses off those "hoity-toity liberals". It's more about getting back at those who are smarter or more successful than them. They're just jealous and Trump is just a handy tool at getting back at certain folks they've been taught to despise.

18. The number of Trump supporters is going down.
Sat Dec 28, 2019, 11:04 AM
Dec 2019

..Gradually, some are seeing the truth. Those supporters who have left Trump and become "neutral" have changed because of the constant lies, total insensitivity, and discussing Trump honestly and in an open minded manner with those who are opposed. Now,most will not believe that the number is going down. Yes, some will never stop being "Trumpers" but the constant exposure of who Trump really is, is finally changing the overall number of his supporters.
...The most important reason is that Donald Trump is exposing himself because of his lies, attitude, and insensitivity. A person does not need to be brilliant to see it. But some in the past, who gave him a chance to prove himself, finally see him for what he is: a lying asshole.
... I think that the number of "true believers" has gone down to somewhere around 25% or less, from maybe 35% or more. Some of those who have changed their attitude will never tell anyone. But on election day, next November, they will not vote for him. Who wants to admit that he/she was totally wrong about believing that Trump is good guy who deserves a chance to be President of the United States. Totally and completely wrong about something?
... But come November 2020, those that have learned the truth, and there are many, will not vote for him, not vote at all, or vote reluctantly for the Democrat. Most won't admit they were "wrong" but it doesn't matter because the results will show how 4 years of Trump changed many attitudes toward him.
... Millions of people in the U.S. wanted to give him "a chance" but now after he has had "a chance", he has proven himself totally unworthy of any more chances. I didn't convince those people, and you didn't convince them either. Donald Trump did it.

But their are a lot less believers in the GOP these days.

I have a number of friends who won't vote Republican any more. "This is not the party I signed up for" is something I hear from my conservative friends.

I used to think Americans who voted Republican who obviously don’t benefit from it we’re gullible and just believing the lies, but I’ve changed my mind. Now I think they’re just the poor version of the mean spirited Republicans they vote into office.

They not only want to inflict pain, they actually need and crave it. And not just causing pain to liberals either. They do it to their own children and spouses. It’s a way of life. Then some of them justify it through their religious perversions.

I wish Christians would take back their religion from evangelicals.

and note that Trump has. That "U" image of the political spectrum rather than a straight line.

Ernst Rohm, a friend of Hitler's, gay, and cofounder of the SA (the "Brownshirts&quot : "Captain Rohm boasted that he could turn the reddest communist into a glowing nationalist in four weeks." "Röhm presented himself as a ‘rational’ anti-Semite, and as man who had more empathy with his radical opponents on the left in the Communist party than with the moderate politicians of the centre."

That last. The common element that the Rohms exploit, and which Eric Hoffer enlarges on.

"The frustrated, oppressed by their shortcomings, blame their failure on existing restraints. Actually, their innermost desire is for an end to the "free for all." They want to eliminate free competition and the ruthless testing to which the individual is continually subjected in a free society." Eric Hoffer, The True Believer: Thoughts On The Nature Of Mass Movements
