Or would she prefer that Trump still be impeached but not yet tried in the Senate, when he makes his speech to the nation?

1. Since the SOTU isn't until February that probably would happen.

I don't think she can hold off that long, and I doubt she thinks it's important anyhow. Trump is going to say whatever bullshit he says regardless.

3. I believe Pelosi is waiting for some external events to happen before she acts.

I think she will eventually send the Articles over, but I believe circumstances will have changed when she sends them over. Also, I believe she thinks if she can get 4 or 5 Republicans to agree to witnesses, then she would consider that a victory. She is a realist. She does not anticipate enough Senators will vote for conviction and removal. A victory would be if she got a simple majority to convict. That is about the best scenario that Democrats could hope for.

I am convinced that she is playing a brilliant poker game, knowing that she's holding a hand that has a "slim-to-none" chance of winning, but making the fools sweat their asses off and being so stupid as to show more evidence of how guilty they all are.

I think it would be SO GOOD if they have NOT sent the articles before the SOTU. I have this little vision of IQ45 totally exploding right there in front of America - for all to see!
