Kind of neat - I'm glad they are not being thrown out. I just wish they wouldn't take my partly used bar when I am staying another night or two.

(34,131 posts)At the sink and in the shower - no wastage at all. The only problem - it's hard to read the darned script while wet and without my glasses. I'm sure I washed my hair with body wash and washed my body with shampoo more than once.
Quite a few places had a one product does it all so only one dispenser in the shower and probably the same product at the sink. I never noticed a problem with any of them - and they did not stink the way the fancy soaps and shampoos do at the fancier hotels do. I ended up shipping back my shampoo and most of my soap and never reacted to any of the products provided.

(34,131 posts)I originally was worried and packed enough of my shampoo and soap to last the entire trip. In the past I have had reactions to various products - Ivory soap gives me hives, and most products for years had so much fragrance that I would sneeze everytime I lathered up.
Fortunately, most products I encountered were mild and most had little or no scent. I only used my own sff a few times when the scent showed up as soon as I walked in the door. Also fortunately, I am on a good antihistamine which has allowed me more ability to deal with products, both those I use and those used by others.

(43,060 posts)We have marginally decreased per capita use of a lot of resources, but I suspect plastics are still on the rise.
Nonetheless this is good news, and thanks for posting!
