It is even more true in our country because we have a corrupt buffoon in the WH and his antics, bigotry, and total fuck-wittery dominate the news, and with our elections, the "news" has no shortage of bullshit stories pitting democrats against one another. This type of environmental disaster is underreported or ignored.
