I generally access DU from my phone

The Left Column has not updated with new material since December 19. Is there something I need to do? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's populated manually by one of the admins, and if there's a vacation or day off, it's not updated.

For instance, the TOON posts are a pretty regular feature there during the week, but I don't recall any of the weekend ones being added.

And there have been one or two occasions where TOON post titles were edited (more specifically, truncated) in TLC because I worded it in such a way that it might not have been considered appropriate for DU's home page.

This points to TLC updates being a manual process.
