Trump high-fives Fox News for advocating Senate dismissal of impeachment on 51 procedural votes

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

“It’s my opinion as a lawyer that the Articles of Impeachment are defective on their face, which means I would like to see a Motion to Dismiss and have this disbursed without the necessity of a trial. I don’t think there should be a trial. I think it should be dismissed....

5. I googled him for you:

Prior to joining Georgetown, he was the President of Freedom’s Watch, a right of center conservative advocacy 501 C4. Mr. Blakeman can be seen regularly as a Republican Strategist on FOX News, MSNBC, BBC, CNN, Sky News and Al Jezeera. He also is published regularly in Politico, US News and World Report, Newsmax and Foxnews.com. 4. T.V. lawyers should be charged with malpractice if they provide false, legal advice.

7. A lawyer's duty is only to his client, who is the only person who can sue him for malpractice.

If somebody is stupid enough to take a TV lawyer's advice, especially that of a Trump toady on Fox, they deserve what they get.

8. Brad Blakeman is not a "great" lawyer. He's not even a good lawyer.

And he's not a Constitutional lawyer.

He graduated from a bottom feeding law school, Touro, which US News ranks in its 146-192 category (meaning that there are anywhere from 145 to 191 schools ranked higher).

He is an "adjunct" professor at Georgetown, but has no publications listed in his bio and the list of courses he has taught do not include any in constitutional law.

He labels himself "Hon" even though his position in the Bush White House was, and I'm not making this up, "Deputy Assistant to the President for Appointments and Scheduling, Vetting and Research, Correspondence and Surrogate Scheduling."

His assertion that the Articles are "defective on their face" is itself a statement that is, on its face, clearly wrong since there is no definition of the term "high crimes and misdemeanors" and previous impeachment proceedings have been based on obstruction of Congress and abuse of office.

The only conclusion I can reach is that Blakeman is such a bad lawyer that he doesn't even understand the commonly used legal phrase "on their face."

10. All absolutely correct. However, none of that will prevent

the Fux-imbibing knuckle draggers from cheering this latest nonsense on as vindicating their hero.
