(82,849 posts)Trump has not demonstrated infallibility. As such, it is quite important for anyone, but especially the President of the United States, to hear opposing viewpoints on the possibility - however remote - that he could be wrong. Does your aunt think that Donald Trump, author of more than 15,000 documented lies during his time in office, is infallible?

(14,796 posts)a business operation rather than a conduit for public service. Thank the right-wing media and our obsession with the stock market for that.
When seen through the lens of the CEO of a corporation, it's considered OK for him to surround himself with yes-men and yes-women.
Conversely, government organizations should be shining examples of diversity.

I don't get it.
It would be no fun at all for me here on DU if everyone agreed with me.
I treasure the times people have changed my mind.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
