10. Scary thing is we understand each other. "I ran" into a childhood friend

who reminded me we used to communicate with hand signals for the first few weeks we knew each other when we were 6 because neither of us spoke the same language. When you pass 50, the hand signals come back i find. LOL! I did remember her home phone number. So long term memory is good. I did actually run into her last week.

11. I'm able to miscomprehend in two languages, one of them might be hand signals, fluently.

I just start moving. I can even imagine doing it in my head without moving. Keeps the creativity going. I should do zoomba and make it a regular thing again to lose weight. I will soon have room in my livingroom.

18. I don't have a memorized a routine either. I paint little shoes and arrows on the floor ...

its why I prefer dancing with shorter partners, I can look over their shoulder for the diagrams on the floor. I shuffle a lot. That way I don't step on their feet. Much.

23. I have had both the best of humanity, family, and the worst of humanity, stalkers, in

the span of my life. But i had grandmothers who taught me that the bad times pass and i've taken the long view mostly. I read recently that rubbing the inside of a banana peel against your teeth whitens them, but i did not know i was supposed to smoke it too.

27. On Christmas Eve,

my 89-year old aunt told my daughters -- both in their twenties -- to fit in all the fun they can before they are 85, because everyting goes downhill after that.

When they asked my 91-y.o. uncle how he was doing, he said, "At least no one is shoveling dirt on my face."

A sense of humor is a good thing.

Life itself is a wonderful thing. Its a pleasure and a blessing to be here.

Almost all the "bad" things that happened in my life didn't happen to me, they happened to someone else. We need to be able to keep someone else's tragedy from becoming our assumed tragedy. There no reasons for us to suffer it, too. But it is our opportunity to feel empathy and offer solace, to maybe learn a lesson and make changes.

Life is good, no matter what happens to me, it'll be OK.

I look back on everything I've experienced, and think it's a miracle that I'm alive, and have at least half of my brain cells still sparking. Being a participant of the eternal "Now," and the miracle of the living universe, is an amazing thing. I enjoy every day!

29. For some reason,

I decided to get a head-start on some chores in my cellar yesterday afternoon, before my son got here to do them for me. I took the first hard fall of 2020, allowing me plenty of time to lay on the dirt floor thinking about how pathetic this old bag of bones has become .....after putting what was formally a good knee back in place. This resulted in my taking a couple of hits of medication when I finally got upstairs. I should not attempt to type even a simple sentence then, especially if I'm also listening to a documentary on, say, Afghanistan while typing.

I found the ability to get up a blessing, too! The worst thing was that I ripped a new pair of jeans .....but that gives me the opportunity to sew them tonight. I always like jeans with patches on them when I was young. Perhaps they will come back in style!

About Iran. I had an Iranian co-worker I was quite fond of and my neighbors across the street were Iranian. But I didn’t think of Apple stores and so much western influence in Iran itself. Huge surprise.
