We have a dictator that is above the law of this country.

Admit it.

They are priming themselves in the Senate to acquit him of all charges in the impeachment and to declare him totally exonerated.

Nobody can testify against him. He claims executive privilege.

He permits no oversight from the Congress.

He divides the country into teams, including teams in the Legislative Branch of our government.

He declares war and assassinates whomever he deems is best for his political fortunes.

No one does anything to stop him.

The House has done its job by impeaching him, but the Senate does not complete the job. They indict him but he is not convicted. So, he escapes judgement.

He robs the taxpayers. He lies to the citizenry. He supports our enemies. He degrades our allies.

With him, if he can get away with it, it is legal. It's as simple as that.

Americans cannot yet accept that we are now living under a dictatorship. We are pretending to be a democracy, with a Constitution and laws that apply to everyone.

The reality is that the dictator is above the law.

Hopefully, Trump will keel over before then. He is not looking very well.

There will be an election but there will be massive voter suppression, Russian propaganda, and maybe outright vote flipping. And if Trump loses, you can bet he’ll claim election fraud and take it to the Supreme Court. Our fate would be in John Robert’s hands.

full-throttle as it will have been officially legitimized by being voted in (as Sinclair Lewis famously predicted), so we have to be very careful as to who we Dems put up to run against him.

of our dystopian future, one only needs to look to Hungary and Vicktor Orban. While always swirling around in the background over the past few decades, the tide of fascism is now swelling into a tidal wave that will totally obliterate what little remains of our democracy. Be prepared!

have been watching the slow, insidious and sophisticated installation (think of the gutting of our institutions) of this dictatorship that really speeded up for obvious reasons with the appointment of Barr. The weak underbelly of our democracy is the Justice system which our enemies have been for decades searching for. Think many were slow to recognize this because they clung to the misconception that tRump was simply a useful idiot, when in fact he had behind him a highly trained spymaster with a very specific plan, and as motivation was fully aware of the personal benefits of that plan, a part of which is right now in the process of being instituted by Moscow Mitch. Incidentally, if Moscow Mitch chooses loyalty to tRump over loyalty to the constitution is he by extension being a traitor, and should that not be the main argument against him?

He has defied the Congress. He has bullied the Senate into submission. He controls the party in power. He does not follow Constitutional law. He has positioned the SC in his favor to the point that no one is confident of any judicial decisions they make. He boasts of his singular power. He has assassinated a ranking member of a foreign country without even discussing it with half the Congress. He admires, consults, and models himself after the worst, most oppressive evil leaders in the world. He is busy gaining control of our three branches of government to benefit him and only him. He installed his totally unqualified family members into sensitive positions of power and allowed them to wheel and deal in our foreign policy arena for their benefit but in our name.

He has attempted to suppress our free press, intimidating anyone who says anything against his regime. He has sorted our population into categories that he would personally, along with his Party, like to see excluded from our midst. He has apparently excluded Puerto Rico from receiving disaster funding, and would like to exclude California, as well.

This is well beyond a well-meaning but bumbling, lovable old fool who happened to gain the Presidency. He is a vicious, calculating individual who will be more than happy to disappear your civil rights, declare you persona non grata, or someone who isn't worth feeding or caring for in any way.

If we do NOT defeat him at the polls--and, we may never know what happened there--we can at that point kiss our country goodbye. WE MUST KEEP THE HOUSE AND TAKE BACK THE SENATE. We must purge our leadership of Trump et al and his family.

And, let me say, this UTTER CRAP about him being some kind of G*d-sent personage is vomitous. He is not here to help anyone but himself. And, so far he, he has done nothing but alienate all our friends around the world, helped a guy get butchered, and almost started WW3--and, that ain't over.

When a guy walks all over the Constitution in defiance of our ruling branches, and probably uses it for toilet paper, then he is a dictator enabled by those who back him up. This isn't someone who is going to go away quietly. Brace yourself.

And, although I would like to see him in trouble with the Courts, his having to pay in civil court for a rape that he will wiggle out of for years doesn't mean a thing to the overall scheme of our troubles. I'm rooting for her. But, this guy needs to be impeached, and that COMPLETE ASSHOLE MFER TURTLEMAN, NUNES, GRAHAM, ETC. are protecting him. They are all traitors.

It's the frog in boiling water tale. We are slipping away faster than you think.

But in the end, no. The acts of the Republicans will catch up with them. Trump, who is already circling the drain, will be sucked down into the sewer of history. Those who supported him, McConnell and the rest - they will ultimately go down. The system they have set up is unsustainable because they have created a divided house.

This is how pogroms and holocausts happen. Dumpster has proven that he can kill anyone he wants and be celebrated for it. Meanwhile, the complacent media continues to yap yap yap about two parties.

There aren't two parties. There's us and whatever the Puke party has finally morphed into, like it always wanted to since the days of Ray-Gun. Or maybe Tricky Dick.

This is war.

I know--that probably didn't happen, but it makes a great story about an evil dictator who descended into madness...just like dTrumph seems to be headed.
