1. A lot of the wall plans are a hazard to wildlife or cut across communities but some may have improvd
border patrol . Some not all? Plus who knows yet how much will be completed by 1/2021 ?

2. No
The whole argument against the wall was it’s not effective, and it cost so much. Tearing it down with tax payer money would be used against us. Remember, Democratic leaders weren’t against the wall because they wanted people illegally crossing, they were against it because there is a better and more fiscally sound way of dealing with illegal immigration.

4. we need to discourage people from crossing the desert
It's dangerous.
It is environmentally destructive - the desert areas are highly sensitive to the trash people leave behind them It furthers the aims of rewarding coyotes and the cartels. Much like the drug problem... we need to treat the source. We need to help the economies where these people originate and we need to ( in cooperation with Mexico ) address the refugee issue humanely and we need to create a guest worker visa program. Eliminate the people wanting to cross illegally and we can go back to having a decent "fence" along the problem areas and no fencing at all in remote areas. |
