Dayum. Nancy Pelosi made her choice.

She chose wisely, grasshopper.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler
Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff
Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries
California Rep. Zoe Lofgren
Florida Rep. Val Demings
Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia
Colorado Rep. Jason Crow

Lofgren and Demings are killing it with video evidence. They are presenting evidence. I love these two brave strong women.

They are all fantastic. Pelosi is playing 3D Chess while the GOP throw spitballs.

Shame on those that doubted our Speaker. This is a well planned coordinated attack with the facts.

I love my Democratic Party. You all have my utmost respect.

It won't make a difference in the outcome, but it will be quite useful during the 2020 campaign and in the years to come to point to how the two parties treated such a solemn event. Who took their duties seriously? Who clowned while pissing on the Constitution? Who laid out a cogent argument? Who barked and whined, dissembled and deflected? Who engaged these very serious issues? Who smeared shit on the walls?

President and Senate, administratively that is. But we are in an extraordinary time in history that we have a critical threat in the WH. Wish, (although 100% not traditional and not typically appropriate) our past presidents would have stepped in ad hoc and led us. From an overall policy and strategic perspective that is. But too late now, we will have a policy leader soon, when our candidate is selected

I realize managing perceptions is a thing, but the sad fact is Republicans have been much better managing those perceptions then Democrats. In fact, I would argue that Pelosi appeared to be forced to go to the impeachment trial because there was heat put on her from the media.

Trump is already crowing to the media that he is now okay with Pompeo and Rick Perry testifying making it look like he is now okay with witnesses, knowing the Senate Republicans won't allow it.

The media report I heard this on (radio, not Fox news) did not call him a liar or even hint that Trump changed his stance now that Moscow Mitch is protecting him.

Like I said last week, I was worried that the reports about a few Senators defecting from Moscow Mitch on the issue of witnesses was only McConnell teeing up the football so that he could pull it away at the last second.

I think trump is probably working those who haven't testified really hard. As they drop, it means he "got em".

Trump doesn't drag his feet when he's got time to scheme. While Mueller working, he got rid of Sessions and put his guy in as AG. He fired Comey who had his number He got his boy Kavenaugh in as his future blocker. He replaced all the half decent staff and advisors. He reversed countless worthwhile regulations that no one even knows about (ok now to dump cancer causing sludge into our water).

I even wrote to Pelosi and other Representatives urging them to do it. I wish they would have taken more time to collect evidence, and brought more articles. But I understand there's argument against that too.

I know this path is better than not impeaching. And I'm glad it's happened. I would have no faith in anyone in government if it hadn't.

I just don't think it will accomplish a sea change. And I have that thought only because I seriously suspect the patriotism of all 53 Republican Senators.

The media will play clips of Trump claiming victory with chirons running at the bottom of the screen that Trump found innocent.

The only thing we could realistically get from impeachment is the chance to drag him through the mud by forcing witnesses to either to lie for Trump (under oath) or flip, and the Republicans are doing their best to protect him from that.

GOP members of Congress should be very scared they will be exposed , and they will be facing consequences for their crimes. A lot more will be exposing their involvement , and if they were bribed into protecting trump for re-election help from foreign countries.
