Let's be honest with ourselves

Cipollone and Sekulow could literally fart into the microphone for 6 hrs straight and Republicans, including "Susan" and Romney, will vote straight party line on Mitch and trump's every word, no matter what.

That anyone thinks Republicans have any redeeming qualities or gives a damn what the American people think shows a level of naivety that boarders on disturbing.

Before anyone blames Trump, I'm old enough to remember Reagan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr. The Republican party of today is absolutely the same party of these eras.
A lot of the Senate and House are the same people.

Republicans just gave trump and by extension the Republican party, license to stop even pretending to give a shit what we think.

That is the part that should worry us all.

I'm plenty worried. And I agree with you that this is the same party. But with Trump, it has really gone off the rails. My late father was a republican, but I'm quite sure he would be horrified by what is happening now. He was as honest as the day is long, kind, and generous. He would look at Trump and his enablers and shake his head. Maybe he might have even voted for a Democrat! I miss him terribly, but I'm glad that he's not here to see this mess.

"I'm glad that he's not here to see this mess."

What does that say about the character of our current politicians? Pathetic!

These are not "Republicans" that I remember from my youth - not even ones I remember from my early voting years.
This is a different animal - and one that should be caged.
What really scares me is that there is a great number of people that support them - and that ain't good!

We've GOT to GET OUT THE VOTE - get control, and start to fix what should be the greatest country on earth.
