showing them for the incompetent bottom of the barrel trash they are. Pelosi has done a magnificent job.

(15,082 posts)The fix is already in. He will not be convicted and removed from office. And he will crow about "total exoneration" for ever. He will probably even pretend that he was not impeached.
Somehow, Moscow Mitch has corralled his caucus into one seething blob that will do as they are told. How did we get here?

(15,082 posts)I do find it astounding that the White House Counsel is flat-out lying in his statement. I wish the Bar where he is registered would yank his law license. There isn't a Bar in DC, so maybe New York? William Barr needs to have his law license pulled as well.

(11,767 posts)That is a heavy burden over your head when you're a lawyer and out of trump's syndicate. None of his "lawyers" will have trump to hide behind once they leave his service. I believe they will fall under their states' bar review, that's my hope. I know one of DU's awesome lawyers can set us straight.

(13,101 posts)Democrats have given this their all. They are doing a stellar job carrying out the duties of their elected office. God bless America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

(11,767 posts)However, if the public is listening, they are seeing just how corrupt the republicans and the president's team are. The House Managers are handling this masterfully in getting a whole helluva lot into the public.

they will get soundbites.
if people of Jeopardy couldn't identify Adam Schiff last week (although I know it was filmed in October) I have no reason to think most people are following this as close as people here on this forum are. The public are already in their corners.

(11,767 posts)However, they are all members of our Democratic party. My guess is most republicans have their heads in the sand, just like their senate republicans and fox news. My hope is, enough regular folks do see this evidence our Dems are presenting and get royally ticked off!

(11,767 posts)They'll never vote Democratic, but they're wanting to write-in or go libertarian. Any vote trump loses, I'm all for. I do agree the Senate republicans are united, for some of them, I don't think that's a good thing and they're going to lose their seats.

(3,321 posts)disillusioned with all of government. They do not see that republicans are bad. They see it as all of government is bad (thank you so much raygun), and that they want nothing to do with it. Democrats are just as bad as the repugs in their opinion. The repugs have succeeded, in large part, in poisoning the well. Many people no longer give a shit about our government, and especially not about party affiliation.
If we cannot fix this, all else is moot.
I think Democrats can fix this, but there is much, much work to do.
It's a long row to hoe. Better to start now.
We had 130,000,000 vote in 2016
