The Senators are NOT the jury in this trial

We are.

The American people.

That's who the Democratic House Managers are directing their arguments toward.

Don't get discouraged by party-line 53-47 votes.

Every one of those votes is a nail in the coffin for the Senate careers of Collins, Gardner, Tillis, McSally, and Ernst.

Every one of those votes brings us closer to the end of Mitch's reign.

Mitch McConnell lost his Senate majority today...

He doesn't know it yet, and it won't formally happen until November. But he lost it today.

5. are there 4 repub senators who could be convinced to vote to convict.?

I ask that only half seriously.

Think about it, when the repubs (or the russians, or, the mob--which the repubs basically now are...) need something from somebody who doesn;t want to cooperate, the bring in the persuaders-- the finger nail pullers, the bl;ackmailers, the hit men... in REALITY...

I am not suggesting we do that, jeeze no, BUT, THAT is one big difference..between them and us.

So the small part of my original question wonders about the pssobility of thre being SOMETHING that woukld convince 4 of them to turn on their masters?

20 need to be convinced to convict.

That's assuming that all 47 Democrats vote guilty plus 20 Republicans to bring us to the 67 needed.

I think we can count on all 47 to come to Senate and fairly vote for conviction, but getting another 20 Republicans to do so is gonna be difficult.

It cracks me up that we follow the same game plan and expect a different result.

Mitch McConnell didn't lose JACK FUCKING SHIT TODAY.

MITCH McCONNELL DOESN'T GIVE JACK FUCKING SHIT ABOUT DEMOCRACY!!!!!

We laugh at how fucking ignorant the RW tools who watch reality TV, they are just ignorant tools used by the RW. Yet we sit back and watch reality TV of the latest hearing, without realizing we are just as fucking ignorant.

Learn from history, the fix was in back then. PROVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AGAIN, AND I MEAN TO FUCKING SCREAM! THE FIX WAS IN BACK IN 2016. GET IT!!!!!

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!!! THE FIX IS IN NOW!!! FUCKING THINK!!!

Once we can get enough people to realize where we are, then we can start making some progress.

FFS, we have people here alerting on calling out DiFi, she needs to be called out, afraid to walk out of her fucking front door, she ain't a Senator of WV, and she needs to be treated EXACTLY as a Repuke Senator who didn't take the Party line.

Tough!!??? Low Road!!??? YOU FUCKING BET! YOU WANT TO KEEP FUCKING LOSING!!!!

Because we can't lose much more without losing all.

SD, nothing personal, just an overall comment to the many threads that keep saying this will all be O.K., IT FUCKING WON'T!!!

And if you are looking for someone on TV to make it better, they won't. We need to make it better.

It is SO disgusting to see these anti-patriots refusing to allow evidence to be shown. It's so infuriating, and that's how they want us to feel... trembling with rage and impotent in the minority.

Screw that.

Trump was never going to be removed from office by these quislings. You're right--persuading them is not the point. Not even close.

Thank you. I feel so much better with your reminder.

Dems are doing just what they need to...

Gotta be making some Senators squirm at every vote. Schumer deserves a toast...

All those people living in States with Republican Senators, especially the endangered six, need to be on the phones tomorrow blasting away.

The icing on that cake would be a McConnell loss in Kentucky.
We can but dream.
