I posted yesterday about being depressed by the Republicans and their ilk.

To get in a better mood, I made another contribution to Jaime Harrison. He’s a Democrat who is running for Lindsey Graham’s seat.

I’d love to get rid of Graham.

finding the local Democratic party and attending a meeting with like-minded individuals.
This can lead to writing postcards, phone banking, GOTV efforts, neighborhood canvassing, registering voters, etc.

It's taking action to correct a wrong and feels good and helps release some frustration, increase some endorphins, all good stuff. I highly recommend GOTV efforts, help with the micro and the macro universe.

My therapist about how Trump's bullshit affects my mood. Along with climate change and grieving
for my mom all at the same time.
I told her I hate all republicans don't trust them, I hate their beliefs, their narcissim, their religion and abusive god and who they are to the core of my being.

She tried to say all republicans aren't bad and I said yes they are bad and what they believe is so sick evil and wrong.
And why it's incompatible with democracy and the Constitution..

She's starting to. Grok my logic and feelings about this. Finally.

of around 30% of the American population by various right-wing elements over the past 40 years, along with their creation of a tightly closed information bubble and their demonization of all those outside the bubble.

My goodness.....after I wrote that out, I see it really would be interesting to hear a psychologist's or psychiatrist's thoughts on that question. Surely they have studied it.

It stands to reason that our psychological health is impacted by the fact that over the past few decades, fewer and fewer people are willing to participate in rational, compassionate debates on current issues but instead chose to stonewall over hard, fixed opinions. I miss those days of healthy debate when the other side would at least listen.
