If you have Republican Senators and haven't contacted them about the Impeachment Trial

DO IT NOW!!!

I just e-mailed both Tillis and Burr (NC) and insisted that the Senate hear witnesses and see evidence that Trump has directed various department and agencies of the Federal government to withhold.

Here's the message I sent to Burr:

I am writing to insist that the Senate hear from witnesses and require pertinent evidence that has been withheld by various Federal departments and agencies--upon direction from President Trump-- be submitted to the Senate for consideration during the impeachment trial of Donald Trump.

We, the public, are not stupid. I have sat in a jury box myself and know the importance of witnesses and evidence in a trial. I may not be an attorney, but I recognize a kangaroo court. Take your oath of office seriously, Senator Burr. Require witnesses and evidence, and then listen to all of it with an open mind or watch the Republican party pay the consequences at the ballot box next November and see your reputation as a United States Senator forever be tarnished as a sycophant of the Russian asset and traitor known as Donald Trump.

I sent a similar e-mail to Tillis with a more direct message regarding his fate at the ballot box next November, since he is up for re-election here in NC.

And now I'm off to make a donation to Cal Cunningham, who is the Dem opponent running for Senate against Tillis. (I was quite pleased to hear on Morning Joe this am that NC is being included now as one of the Senate seats in play, and that Tillis approval ratings are only in the 30's. )

If everyone who participated in the woman's march of 2017 would call or write their senators, the senators would take notice. Why is it in this day of smart phones with our contact database at our fingertips, we still don't call our members of Congress on a regular basis? In my opinion, it's step two after voting. I make calls every Monday. It takes about 15 minutes. I have a friend who chastised me for not participating in the marches, yet she's never called her reps.
