They even opened weather shelters it was the coldest temperature in more than nine years. It was 30s and 40s this morning.

(268,998 posts)I have a good friend in Trinidad and they have iguanas in their trees - they feed them with fruit skins every day. It's fun watching them scurry down and up the tree with fruit skins for their young.

It's definitely cool here, so reptiles are chillin'.

(51,308 posts)I remember sitting in the car in the sun with the windows rolled up to get warm when this happened, which was rare.
Now around 32 in the Carolinas and I go outside with a long sleeve shirt and a vest lol. Funny what you get used to.
Id be wearing a down jacket if I were in the Keys today!

(34,136 posts)I had an appointment with a fencing guy at 9:30 - it was 38. Yesterday the high was 48 F.
Even so, we have not had a good solid freeze in several years. That means the insects - flies and mosquitoes - have not gotten killed off so they get thicker and thicker every year.
It's supposed to get to the low 70s Friday but it will rain. When the weather clears the highs will be in the 60s, so it will be a little more comfortable.
