He'll be appointed by Newsom and then get re-elected in his own right several times.

She has been strategically building her super-pac by taking portions of dollars raised for a lot of house candidates - those that she supports against dem incumbents. She has a war chest. And she is very much getting ready for battles.

And with house politics, money gets you influence. How many votes can she swing? I don't know. Hopefully 1, but in house internal politics this is how you rise in the power structure.

It's not always competence, or doing what is right for the party; it's who have you raised money for.

And she surely would want someone more radical than schiff.
