Sounds crude but, there's a "Drunk History" episode (no16, I think) that is about her and spends some time on her kidnapping and how she was abused.

Even if you're convinced that Republicans would have confirmed an abuser of women anyway, surely you want it on record so you can use against them the next time they're up for election? "My opponent confirmed a kidnapper and thug as an ambassador!"
