I've been thinking about this. Can Speaker Pelosi disinvite him based on the fact that he's an impeached president who prevented a fair senate trial? There is no first amendment issue here. Trump could issue his SOU in writing (or ask for or purchase TV time.)

He could even show up to give his speech in congress but, I believe the Speaker can turn out the lights and prevent cameras from the chamber.

I don't think Pelosi would do this as much as I would like her to do so. Do we really want to offer him a platform to pound his chest re his innocence?

Perhaps she could use this as a bargaining chip. No witnesses and documents, ... SOU invitation withdrawn.
