BumRushDaShow
(169,618 posts)is that Hunter was no longer involved with Burisma after 2014. We are now in 2020 and they are trying to do their Squirrel!!!!!
And she ALSO won't talk about Ivanka and her "conflict of interests" with those Chinese copyrights.

(26,168 posts)Can we talk about Ivanka and how much money she and her husband have grifted since she 'gave up her life' to the American people?
Can we talk about Jared Kushner, his security clearances, his business conflicts of interest, and his activities in Saudi Arabia?
Oh, if they really want to talk about nepotism, LETS DO.
BumRushDaShow
(169,618 posts)But by doing so, it basically encourages the media to do their "both sides" and really look into them.

(4,715 posts)the US cannot ask another nation to investigation especially if there is no direct threat to the US. If Ukraine wanted to investigate Burisma, it's up to them to decide.
She's not making the case to call Biden as a witness just because there was a perception of a conflict of interest.

(39,162 posts)Your president extorted a foreign government in trade for a demand that they announce an investigation into his political opponent's son. Your president fired and tried to ruin a sitting ambassador so he could get dirt to use in his re-election campaign. Your president obstructed congress to cover up his abuse of power.

I am not concern trolling. I really don't see how this pig's ear is going to turn into a silk purse for all the stay-at-home non-voters.

(26,168 posts)The controversy stems from diplomatic actions by Biden while his son, Hunter Biden, sat on the board of Burisma Group, one of the countrys biggest private gas companies. As vice president, Biden pursued an anti-corruption policy in Ukraine in 2016 that included a call for the resignation of the countrys top prosecutor who had previously investigated Burisma.
Yuriy Lutsenko, the current prosecutor general, said that neither Hunter Biden nor Burisma were now the focus of an investigation. He added, however, that he was planning to offer details to U.S. Attorney General William Barr about Burisma board payments so American authorities could check whether Hunter Biden paid U.S. taxes on the income.
I do not want Ukraine to again be the subject of U.S. presidential elections, Lutsenko said in an interview Tuesday in his office in Kiev. Hunter Biden did not violate any Ukrainian laws -- at least as of now, we do not see any wrongdoing. A company can pay however much it wants to its board. He said if there is a tax problem, its not in Ukraine. [snip]
Back in March 2016, [then VP] Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees if Ukraine failed to address corruption and remove its Prosecutor General, Viktor Shokin, who soon after left office amid widespread calls for his dismissal. Though Shokin had begun a probe into Burisma, it was dormant when he departed, according to a former prosecutor.
At the end of the day, Shokin submitted his own resignation, Lutsenko said.

(5,340 posts)Narrow and restrict definitions of offenses til the white collar crime no longer fits the new standards. In this instance, theyre not worming towards the conservatives on the Supreme Court, theyre playing to a room of cowering republican politicians. And the American public will pay for all the folly that ensues.
