Rachel started with some repug history,

hoping to engage so we won't be blind to it, discussed Howard Baker >>> Nixon 'impeachment.' Baker recognized his proper role, to look into facts: 'What did the president know, and when did he know it?'

My question: When did repugs become the they are today?

Recounting the history of how senior republican senator Howard Baker came to take the Watergate hearings seriously. Showed a clip from his 2005 interview.

Then, she proceeded to review documents received via FOIA requests by American Oversight that show a range of republican congressmen requesting from the OMB answers about compliance of payments to Ukraine and support for the security assistance. Letters sent from republicans include: Sen Portman, Sen Inhofe, Sen. Ron Johnson, rep thornberry, rep paul cook, and rep mccaul.

Also, she highlighted a CBS news article from Sept 12:

Several Republican senators, including Trump ally Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, said they would have voted with Democrats. Added Sen. John Kennedy, R-La.: "We support Ukraine. Period. End of discussion."

Is a very interesting list of names. Actually capitalized some republican senators names, as I’m giving them a chance to do the right thing. Feels weird, though, I’m rather cynical about them.
