Super Upset: The Niners Will Win!

I'd prefer to post this on Saturday, but I'll be indisposed from tomorrow till Monday.

I know everybody's going Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs over Mahomes and the offense of KC, which I totally get. But this Super Bowl reminds me of John Elway and the Broncos in 1986: a great quarterback, explosive offense, but an iffy defense, going up against Phil Simms and the Giants: Good (not great) QB and offense, but a killer defense. And we all know the old saying about what wins championships! It's an old saying because, an overwhelming majority of the time, it turns out to be correct! Mahomes is Elway, Jimmy G is Simms, with Richard freakin' Sherman!

Other than that, I think you're right. I love my Chefs and Mahomes is the quarterback we waited 50 years for but the 49er defense is loaded with speed and is sound fundamentally. The only real question is which defense can stop the other offense most often. I think the answer is the 49ers can stop the chiefs more often than the chiefs can stop the 49ers but I sure hope I'm wrong.

Now I'll wait for that apology about the vile Elway remark.

I will refrain from stooping to your level by insulting the 49ers because I am a gentleman, sir. The 49ers are a championship franchise and one that exemplifies class and excellence. The Kansas City chiefs are also an organization marked by respectability and the loudest fan base in America. I look forward to a well played game against two very talented teams.

I'm actually hoping the Chiefs win! I honestly don't think they will, but Frisco already has 5 Rings. They don't need any more.
