Chris Matthews just predicted Trump's approval going to "49 or 50%" by the end of SOTU week

I don't see that happening. I know the MAGAts will swoon, but I don't see him getting a 10% boost from his SOTU victory lap.

Part of it, I guess, will depend on the degree to which he turns the SOTU into a MAGAt rally. I don't think that's a strategy for winning him new friends.

Chris Matthews: 2005's Misinformer of the Year

Chris ? George, Part 1: Bush sometimes “glimmers” with “sunny nobility.” On MSNBC's Hardball, during a discussion with Washington Times editorial page editor Tony Blankley of the effects on President Bush and his administration of the investigation into the leak of the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame, Matthews said "[S]ometimes it glimmers with this man, our president, that kind of sunny nobility." because of the headlines it will generate.

If Bolton goes on TV this weekend and we get the dirt from him on 60 Minutes or somewhere else, it could put a dent in any bump.

With over 75% of the country demanding witnesses and evidence, people are going to outraged at Trump and this kangaroo Senate.

Trump braying like a donkey at the SOTU won't change that.

And if he attacks Pelosi and/or Schiff during the speech...and you know he'd love to...that won't result in a bounce.

Bloviating fuck who will say anything and then punctuate it with the phrase: ”...your thoughts?” As though he cares.

As a Philadelphian I am ashamed every time he recalls his salad days here. In fact anyone who knew him knows he’s a loser who is no more of a Philadelphian than my cat is. That putz deluxe...

Did I mention that I’m not too fond of him?

He has a tendency to want to dominate all conversations. Basically Tweety has little to no empathy. If Trump would have allowed him interviews Tweety would have made a really good Trumper.

Right now, his approval average is close to as high as it has ever been since shortly after he took office.

To expect the media to show you fake polls showing this because the MSM is fully in Trump Re-Election Mode(TRM). They will do their absolute damndest to get him re-elected because he's the greatest clickbait and ratings increaser ever.

His ratings have been remarkably steady since he got into office. Besides, anybody BUT his cult base are well aware that the trial was a sham. 75% polled wanted witnesses. 51-53% wanted him removed from office. Yeah, he's not going to get a more than 1-2 point bounce that will quickly revert to the mean.
