I don't even want to SEE the damned SOTU...he KNOWS what the outcome will be on Wednesday. My guess is that he'll be even MORE belligerent if he hasn't been "fully exonerated" by McConnell.

Dems also get to offer 4 amendments tonight.

I suspect McConnell did not have the votes in his own caucus to proceed with a plan and therefore needed to negotiate with Schumer for Dem support. Otherwise there is no way Dems would've gotten the extra days and ability to present amendments.

And, really, who knows what can happen in the next 4 days or so with news breaking so quickly that could change everything?
