There is one thing he did back in 2010 that I will never forgive him for even though I think he may have regrets now.

his ability to listen to both sides and actually do what the old fashioned job description demands, negotiate and work out policy that is best for the most. He's a big veterans advocate and has done quite a bit in that area. He has brought forth federal policies to help with their medical care and challenges which in our state include logistics. I mean, I lived in a place for a long time where it was a 200+ mile round trip to "town" where the big box stores and an Interstate highway were. My next door neighbor, a vet from the 60s - 70s era had to travel 400 miles to see a doctor for his specialized needs which involved at least one night in a motel, he has to go 100 miles to catch a bus going to that part of the state. Tester was instrumental in changing policy that caused vets to travel like that for care which included building new facilities around the state.

His environmental record is another story.

Over all, though, he's got the right idea and can work with people regardless of political affiliation. And that's a lot of what it's like here, most of us make considerations in the light of survival in a harsh landscape which makes us rely upon each other. Politics has to take a back seat when it come to survival which is a big part of life here.
