(11,605 posts)I want to be wrong but I have a horrible gut feeling about 2020, just like I did in 2016 (actually worse). Trump's approval rating hasn't fallen at all this whole time since the Ukraine thing came out.

(2,275 posts)Much of the polling only reflects whether people had heard of the name. After Trump's attempt to pin a concept of corruption on Biden (and never mind his fundraising off of the military-industrial complex along with many other establishment politicians), his "favorability" shot up. It may only be that his name was in the news.
This is how it will work. The Dems are pissed. The Dems choose ANYBODY. The Dems flood the media, and through the all-important word-of-mouth, with that person's name. The Dem turnout is huge. All those addled Anericans choose the candidate whose
A) name they can remember.
B) isn't Trump
