make him dig his hole deeper and get him in even more trouble?
You know he won't be able to contain himself. I suspect he'll be tweeting. I suspect that he'll spike the ball in the end zone of the Hannity interview on Sunday. I suspect he'll go off prompter at the SOTU address on Tuesday.
I got to think that he'll say or do something that will cause him more trouble.

(25,242 posts)On Tuesday at the SOTU - we know the drill. Trump will be announced in the House Chamber and walk to the front of the chamber to a standing ovation and cheers from the Repug side of the aisle.
I'm hoping that on the Dem side of the aisle - they stay seated and are as quiet as church mice. And I hope the Dems give him that treatment throughout the whole speech. Trump will see that and that will infuriate him. I'm hoping that it's enough to get him to go off prompter and really step in it and say or do something that further implicates him as the criminal he is.
The Dems not smiling, clapping or standing for this disgrace of a human being will most assuredly set him off to say even more condescending verbal garbage. Itd be great to see, but wont change his rabid followers in the least.

(7,431 posts)The Senate deserves ridicule, and Trump will deliver. He manipulated the Senate GOPers into disgracing themselves, now he'll piss on all of them. He humiliated the Senate, now he'll rub their noses in it even more. He'll disrespect them by declaring victory before he wins. He'll show that he's taking the Senate GOPers for granted. Good.

(12,585 posts)Just long enough so Moscow Mitch and the Senate Muscovites can finish their Kabuki theater and vote to acquit so Trump can claim exoneration. Right now he'd have to do the speech as an impeached president, and we know how much being impeached is tormenting him. If the GOP acquits him he'll turn the SOTU into one of his hour and a half rallies. But he'll still be an impeached president, which Nancy has pointed out several times.
