And now we enter that phase where we arguably have a poor track record: Messaging

We are up against Fox News and very skilled GOP talking heads. All have a real advantage in creating simple talking points and hammer them home over and over, repetitiously, ad nauseam.

We have "explainers" who try to tell the truth, which often requires preamble and follow-up. They have angry people who do KISS really well.

We need messengers for at least two audiences: Democrats who need to be turned out in record numbers and Not Democrats who we need to turn out to vote Trump out.

Democrats are horrible at messaging. "Make America Great Again," while horseshit, is short and easy to remember. It's also totally devoid of substance, and its meaning can be whatever the audience wants it to be. Democrats tend to overthink everything, and they try to "explain" stuff too much. There's a place for that, of course. But on the campaign trail, we need a short and sweet slogan to hammer home over and over and over again. The only thing I can think of is:

DUMP TRUMP!

Short and sweet. Fits on a bumper sticker. Can be chanted at campaign events. Everyone knows what it means. It's emotional and visceral, and we can channel our anger into it. Come on Dems, let's do this!
