It was always difficult for him to string a coherent paragraph together. Yet, these days he struggles with a coherent sentence.

With the 51-49 vote against calling witnesses, the Senate essentially killed the republic. Over 70% of us wanted them to call witnesses, and have a fair trial and they ignored us. We no longer matter - just the oligarchs.
