The SINGLE most important thing you can do is READ RICK WILSON'S BOOK

he will disabuse you of any notions you have that "fair" "good" or "right matters" will prevail

he sets out, in sickening detail, the extent, depth and breadth of the trump war machine
we are well and truly fucked

my thought after reading - this election is almost like a Chinese finger puzzle. The harder you struggle and lash to get out, the tighter it gets and the more trapped you are. In other words, the intuitive responses won't work.

Asymmetry is what is needed.

BUT THERE ARE A HUNDRED POINTS IN THIS BOOK that we all need to know and internalize.

It kind of makes me think that we need to aim for the Senate --- and fucking not lose.

READ THIS BOOK. BEFORE YOU DO ANY OTHER THING - because you may be working in completely the wrong direction.

I don't need to spend my money on a book written by a Republican to know that "fair," "good," or "right" don't matter. I know we don't live in a Lifetime or Hallmark channel movie. There is not going to be any epiphany by the antagonist in this reality. They're not going to change and we're not going to suddenly all live happily ever after.

What needs to change is us. We need to get our hands a little dirty. Unions didn't prevail against the robber-barons by playing nice. The USA wasn't founded by people playing nice. It was founded by people playing dirty. We have to start stretching the laws and rules to the breaking point. We have to start fighting fire with fire.

NO, that does not mean we become them. We still care about people, the environment, equality, healthcare, and all the things that are important for our fellow humans. They still only care about wealth and power.

Sure, they're saying things we love to hear right now because we have a common enemy. As soon as that changes, they'll be attacking the Democratic President and pushing the same REPUBLICAN policies they pushed that gave us Sarah Palin.

I do not intend to support them by purchasing anything from which they may receive proceeds. They are not our friends and allies.

Besides actual trees, the term "Tree of Liberty" is associated with a quotation from a 1787 letter written by Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.".

I think the time is now.
