Ads that show Trump being an idiot work better than ads showing him to be evil

Even though both are effective.... I think ads that show him being incredibly stupid work much better.

Laughter is contagious. When someone becomes a laughingstock, it is much harder for them to recover.

Portray someone as evil, and their supporters double down and get even more defensive.

But portray them as idiots, and people get embarrassed to support them.

Mockery works. Especially against an ego like Trump's.

Keep spending that moolah, Mike Bloomberg.

A bit of both. Or, show an ad where he harms programs and then jokes about harming people. TheBlackAdder Feb 2020 #14

I mean, I understand you said "*more* effective" but still...

Americans are *relatively* indifferent to the POTUS being evil. That is not a SURPRISE by any means to anyone who has ever paid attention to American history, but it remains DISAPPOINTING.

OTOH, it is easier to mock than to convince others of a moral position, so perhaps this way lies our hope for a Trump-free future.

People can try to defend his evil policies, and entrench themselves even further in his cult in the process, but they can’t defend his most undeniable acts of idiocy without looking like idiots themselves.

fucking moron walking up the steps with TP on his shoe, him slobbering, unable to pronounce words, etc. He said the Dems need to do more hitting below the belt. Laugh at him, like at the Correspondant's Dinner and Obama joked at him. That really injured his ego.

So much great material. TP stuck to his shoe, not knowing how to work an umbrella, slurring his speech and on and on. Always attack him and never his followers. From where I was, it seemed that Hillary lost Michigan because the term Deplorable became a badge for those very people to rally behind. The narrow margin she lost by in Michigan may have been because it.

particularly those indicating economic harm to listeners, along with abuse of children, women and the poor.

Most all people despise liars, especially when they see clear harm done in the lie.

In this instance, there's a very broad spectrum of lies to chose from.

Those, possibly mixed with some like you're describing would be even more effective.......

.

Trump is all about image.

If he is portrayed as a buffoon, that would affect his psyche the most. He can't handle ridicule.

Just look at how much revenge he harbors because Obama made fun of him.
