How many unaccompanied refugee children are somewhere in the EU with parents in the UK, I'm not sure; the reports usually focused on those with relatives (grandparents, aunts etc.) here. This was an amendment to the EU withdrawal bill known as the Dubs Amendment, after the Labour politician Lord Dubs, who was himself a child refugee who came to Britain before WW2. Theresa May was going to include it in her exit from the EU; Boris Johnson and his new Tory majority dumped it. Because he's a heartless Tory bastard, who now has a majority of heartless Tory bastards to rely on (May rejected it this time too, because, deep in her heart, she's also a bastard, when she can get away with it).
