House Democrat to bring Khashoggi's fiance to State of the Union

( Not enough but a step in the right direction, imo )

By Rebecca Klar - 02/03/20 10:08 AM EST

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) will bring Hatice Cengiz, the fiancée of murdered Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, as his guest to the State of the Union on Wednesday.

“Hatice’s courage to sit in the House Chamber Tuesday night should serve as a clarion call to the President that no matter how high it goes, Saudi Arabia must be held accountable for the murder of this loving father and fiancée, respected journalist, U.S. resident, my constituent, and reformer,” Connolly said in a statement Monday.

“Congress has acted. Now too must the President,” he added.

Khashoggi, who was born in Saudi Arabia but resided in Virginia, was killed in October 2018 at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. The CIA concluded about a month later that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the killing of Khashoggi, who frequently criticized the Saudi government.

Connolly, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, introduced the Protection of Saudi Dissidents Act, which aims to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for Khashoggi’s murder. The act would prohibit arm sales to Saudi intelligence for 120 days and every 120 days thereafter until Saudi Arabia meets certain human rights conditions.

And for good measure:
Hillary Clinton
Lev Parnas
anybody that links him to Epstein

Every Democrat should invite someone who has stood up to Trump or Trump has tried to run over or ruin. The room should become a Trump Hall of Shame.

And the first and every lie he tells should be answered with “YOU LIE”. The thugs loved it when it was done to Obama who didn’t lie!

what heroes! I want them to have some time to recover from all the horrors that he has been inflicting upon them. To have to listen to that creep talk and be near him? They deserve better than that.

Imagine if Nancy Pelosi who sits behind him and is in full view of the camera would hold up score cards rating his speech. I know she is too much of a lady and stickler for decorum to do that but it makes for a nice dream.

Or Democrats could sit there with signs saying YOU LIE! and quietly hold them up when appropriate. That would drive Trump bonkers.

It is all about throwing him off of his game so that he goes off script and looks like the loon that he is.

Get down and play “their game”. We can’t win by taking the high ground at all times. We can still be the party of moral character and leadership; but we also have to have a strong and obvious arm of competition AT THEIR LEVEL.

Just see what they are doing NOW to VP Joe Biden! What they did to Secretary John Kerry, by turning him into the coward and traitor after his military service and courage to confront Congress with our crimes and futility in Vietnam. What they did by painting Secretary Clinton as a weak and incompetent candidate, after all of her courage and devotion to so many causes helpful for women and children around the world.

These evil mother fuckers have no delta too low that they won’t sink to, and SO MUST WE! Our bolting public are too preoccupied and weak minded to care ONLY about truth and facts. We gobble up sewage and lies, and we vote accordingly. If we chose to ONLY “take the high road”, we are fucked...because they know how to win; and it’s past time we get down and PLAY THE SAME GAME!

Watch Bill Maher’s show from last Friday night on YouTube. He makes the point effectively. Do we want to win for the future of our country...or just want to wear a “white hat” in a dying democracy?
